Il World Vegetable Center è un istituto internazionale di ricerca e sviluppo con sede a Shanhua (Taiwan) impegnato per alleviare la povertà e la malnutrizione nel mondo. L'istituto ci ha concesso 5 varietà di peperoncino i cui semi sono stati distribuiti a 10 soci. Lo scopo del progetto è quello di produrre semi puri da distribuire agli associati il prossimo anno.

This project officially open the activity of AAMIPE. Thanks to the support of "The World Vegetable Center was started the AVRDC project aimed at cultivation of wild environments" different "from their natural habitat. The World Vegetable Center is an international institute for research and development headquarters in Shanhua (Taiwan) working to alleviate poverty and malnutrition in the world. The institute has given us five wild varieties behind a fee (about 130 €). Against of this cost was formed a buying group among the moderators, who have taken charge of the amount requested. Now, therefore, considering the cost, the small number of seeds and, more importantly, low germination rate of the same, not to create false hopes for 2011, the project will be carried out only by 10 members of the forum (9 moderators and a user) to this to allow us to have by 2012 a significant number of seeds to give "free" to members of the association. The project will also check that the varieties they are actually sent to those listed on the label because of some past experience does not positive reactions on other banks with seeds. For the record of its cultivation experiences will be used "simplified Diary of the variety to be completed for each variety and at the end of the experience will be sent to the seed bank. In the forum, however, will be posted all updates and progress reports.
